HCPS Teams to Participate in Havre de Grace GIS Internship

Two teams of HCPS students - one from Joppatowne High School and the other from North Harford High School - will be participating in a real-world Geographic Information Systems (GIS) internship in partnership with the city of Havre de Grace.
The students will be working in Havre de Grace with the Department of Public Works (DPW) personnel for two weeks, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. the weeks of June 18-22 and June 25-29. Read more...

(Bel Air, MD) - - The Harford County Commission on Disabilities is currently accepting applications to fill three vacancies. Two vacancies require the applicant be a county citizen with a disability and one requires the applicant is a representative of an agency in Harford County which provides services to persons with disabilities. [Bel Air, MD] - Leaders from Harford County's allied law enforcement agencies gathered at the Harford County Sheriff's Office Southern Precinct on Tuesday, June 26 to sign a Memo of Understanding officially ratifying the creation of the Harford County Traffic Task Force.
The purpose of the multi-agency law enforcement based Harford County Traffic Task Force is to reduce traffic fatalities, traffic crashes and traffic violations which occur within Harford County, through enforcement and education. Read more...

Health Department Offers No-Cost HIV Testing in Observance of 2012 National HIV Testing Day

Bel Air, MD – In observance of the 2012 National HIV Testing Day, the Harford County Health Department will offer anonymous, no-cost HIV testing on a “walk-in” basis on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 pm at the Health Services Division office located on the top floor of 1 North Main Street in Bel Air.
