Bel Air, MD – The magic of the holiday season will be brought to life as Harford Ballet Company presents its performances of The Nutcracker, taking place December 15 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Aberdeen High School. Harford Ballet Company, northern Maryland’s only pre-professional ballet company is proud to perform this classic production for the 12th year. The company’s pre-professional division has grown to 18 members and along with breathtaking technique and artistry, the enchanting story of The Nutcracker is sure to charm young and old audiences alike.

The contest is held to raise awareness about efficiently using and reusing our resources. Aberdeen Proving Ground Organizations Establish STEM Agreement with Harford County Schools

Harford Community College Actors Guild Receives Honors for Silver Scream
Harford Community College’s Actors Guild has received more honors for its production of Silver Scream than any of their previous productions. Silver Scream received two Irene Ryan acting nominations and four certificates of merit for Scenic Design (JimmyO Burril), Choreography (HCC’s own Katie Gordon), Lighting Design (Bill Price), and Costume Design (April Burril and Gaylynn Price) from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Hickory Fifth Graders Raise Money for New Jersey School
In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the fifth grade students at Hickory Elementary School decided to reach out to one of the hardest-hit areas – New Jersey – to offer assistance. In doing so, they learned of Wallace Elementary School in Hoboken, New Jersey. While studying natural disasters, Hurricane Sandy provided a real-world connection for the students. They integrated this content into their writing curriculum and launched a two-week campaign to raise funds for Wallace Elementary School to replace some of the supplies that were lost during the storm. New HCPS Teacher/Principal Evaluation Agreement Reached
Harford County Public Schools, Harford County Education Association (HCEA), which represents approximately 3,200 educators, and the Association of Public School Administrators and Supervisors of Harford County (APSASHC), which represents school administrators, have reached an agreement between the three organizations with respect to the new principal and teacher evaluation system that will take effect next school year.
